Etyek is a small settlement in Hungary, located about 30-minute drive from Budapest and hosts 4 times a year a great wine and gastronomy festival, the Etyek Picnic. The visitors of Etyek Picnic can meet four times a year in Újhegy and Szépvölgy with a familiar atmosphere and culinary treasures.
The aim of the organizers is to highlight the specialties of the season, to present the masterpieces of the finest Hungarian winemakers, gastronomic and craftsmen exhibitors, as well as to cultivate rich programs with talented artists.
The dates and preliminary programs of the Etyek Picnic event series in 2018:
On January 20, the Winter Etyek Picnic will await you with gourmet specialties, handicraft exhibition, concerts and wine tastings.
From 14 to 15 April, the Spring Etyek Picnic will take place in the spirit of ham and champagne. You can taste new wines and the most special handmade champagnes.
From 9 to 10 June there will be two days, where in summer atmosphere the lecsó (kind of Hungarian ratatouille) and the rosé wine will be the protagonists.
And finally the harvest event from 1 to 2 September will also be a two-day event with a focus on stum and cheese, harvest celebrations, craftsmen and great folk musicians.
All programs can be visited free of charge.
