Transylvanian Days will be organized at the Central Market Hall in Budapest between April 24 and 26, 2018. The Central Market Hall on Fővám Square is one of the most beautiful market halls in the world. In 2013 it was voted the best market in Europe by CNN Travel.
Built at the end of the 19th century, the Central Market Hall (officially called ‘Központi Vásárcsarnok’ in Hungarian) is the largest indoor market in Budapest. Among other things, on the ground floor you’ll find a large selection of sausages, meats, cheeses, fruits and vegetables. On the second floor, there are food stands and plenty of vendors selling handicrafts, clothing, embroidery, chessboards and other souvenirs. While focusing on Hungarian products, on International Gastro Days, the Central Market Hall also features the food and cuisine of a foreign country.
This event will promote Transylvania not only for the Hungarian visitors, but also introduce the region to the whole world. It won’t be a simple product fair. It will show the best of Transylvanian products to the world.
At the Spring Fair, hundreds of quality products from Transylvanian producers and many other specialties will be presented which the visitors can taste at the ground floor of the Central Market Hall.
