Between April 4 and 13, 2018 seven venues of Budapest will host the 25th Titanic International Film Festival, which has been a competition festival since 2005. Wes Anderson’s Silver Medal Award winner film, the Isle of Dogs will open the festival. This year’s guest of the event is Iceland.
Traditionally, the screenings will take place mainly at the Uránia National Film Theater and the Toldi Cinema. A new venue from last year, the “Pop-Up Cinema @ Ódry Stage SZFE” will await again film lovers. In addition, there will be Titanic screenings and complementary programs at Kino, French Institute, Art+ Cinema and Magvető Café.
The festival offers a diverse selection of films with the most exciting filmmakers in the contemporary international film industry. This year, 45 films will be screened, including movies by famous directors, first-time debut creations, and thrilling pieces of cinematic art from lesser-known regions.
So save the date! After the long winter it will be a great program with exiting new movies.
The screenings will be in original language with Hungarian subtitles.
