Every Thursday the stunning St. Stephen’s Cathedral performs organ concerts in Budapest. The concerts start at 8:00 in the evening, and approximately last about 70 minutes without intermission. The material of the concert was created by Miklós Teleki organist, who is one of the best organists in Hungary. The Arias are performed by the Kossuth Prize winning artist Kolos Kováts, one of Hungary’s most famous opera singers. Eleonora Krusic also participates in the concert with flute accompaniment. She often plays with various bands abroad and in Hungary.
The audience can listen to works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Bizet, Liszt, Schubert and Bach.
The neo-renaissance building itself is already a must to see when you are in the Hungarian capital. The cathedral with its 96-meter height is one of the highest building of the country. If you are here don’t miss to climb up to its top to enjoy the panoramic views of the city.
The ticket prices vary between 18 and 30,- euros / person.
