With the opening of House of Houdini, a cultural center of outstanding importance was created in Budapest, an international meeting place for lovers of magic. No wonder that this is the most magical place of the Hungarian capital.

The institution is located in the heart of the Castle district of Budapest, in the magical atmosphere of the city’s main attractions: the Buda Castle, the Matthias Church and the Fishermen’s Bastion.

The House of Houdini commemorates the greatest magician and escape artist, Hungarian born Harry Houdini. The permanent exhibition here is the only Houdini exhibition in Europe.

Visitors are entertained by talented, young Hungarian magicians live on the mini-stage of the House of Houdini.

Keep in mind: at the end of the visit you can take photograph with Harry Houdini’s shadow! If you’re lucky, and Harry is in the mood, you’ll be surprised by a never-seen trick!

Opening hours: the museum is open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm every day
