The Hotel Victoria has an interesting and unique history in Budapest. It was originally opened at an other site in 1983, so it was the first private hotel here after World War II. However, the owners were forced to sell the property to the state. Then the construction of the new Hotel Victoria began in 1990.
Location: the hotel is situated in Buda and offers spectacular view from most of its rooms. The district is also well connected to the city’s bloodstream by tram and bus lines. The oldest part of the Hungarian capital, the Buda Castle is within easy reach from the hotel as well.
Rooms: the hotel boasts 27 non-smoking and air-conditioned deluxe rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows offering the picturesque sight of the river Danube. Those rooms in the property that don’t enjoy the river view are categorized as 3-star rooms. This part of the hotel offers the same services and amenities though as the 4-star category.
